GROUP BENEFITS ADMINISTRATOR ... WESTBURY SALARY $55,000-$70,000
Candidates must have
1. Working knowledge of Employee Benefits and Health Reform a must!
2. Resolve day-to-day service issues for clients.
In consultation with vice president, prepare new business requests for proposals, broker services and renewal proposals for clients.
Work with vice president and carrier and be able to speak about rates and calculations, and when required, help secure new business and maintain existing business.
3. Ability to present in front of a client and or prospect, their abilities and knowledge of employee benefits in general terms and if needed, knowing where to go and how to get more detailed information around benefits.
Process new business applications, and insure that cases are installed quickly and accurately by the carrier.
Process all policy changes, endorsements and other requests of clients and internal partners.
Ability to help identify cross-selling opportunities for ancillary and worksite with working knowledge of database management, ability to update client files in timely manner.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all staff and clients.
4. Life and Health license would be a plus, as well as prior experience working in a broker's office. Working knowledge of NYS SHOP Exchanges, Online quoting systems and Salesforce a plus. 3+ yrs minimum, or in an HR role with benefit background.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
