Responsibilities:
Analyze and review price lists from multiple distributors using specialized software and proprietary methods.
Handpick profitable products based on data analysis and compile them onto spreadsheets/purchase orders.
Manage several large accounts as well as multiple smaller accounts.
Communicate with sales representatives to negotiate price lists and place purchase orders.
Source the best prices for desired products from the available distributors.
Regularly interact with existing buyers to identify the most suitable and cost-effective distributors and suppliers for specific products.
Qualifications:
No prior experience necessary, but experience in the grocery industry or as a buyer is a significant plus.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to review and interpret data accurately.
Detail-oriented with the capacity to spot profitable opportunities.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple accounts efficiently.
Proficiency in using software tools for data analysis and spreadsheet management.
Technologically adept, with no issues using computers or computer software.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:
