ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Supervisor of Donor Recruitment, the customer service oriented candidate we seek will play a key role and have a direct impact on our daily collection activities and donor recruitment initiatives within the Suffolk, Nassau, and Queens Region.
Responsibilities include:
Provide outstanding customer service to all donors at mobiles or donor centers.
Greet donors, facilitate instructions during the donation process.
Input donor demographics in BECS system to create bar codes and highlight changes in demographics to collection staff to update.
Educate donors on optimal donation type for their blood type based upon inventory needs and open capacity.
Educate donors on automation donations including plasma, platelets, auto red cell.
Handle front desk tasks, donor check in and phones in Donor Centers.
Help donors use donor portal.
Reschedule donors for future appointments.
Assist staff with sanitizing equipment and areas used by donors.
Answer marketing program questions for donors.
Participate in marketing programs in centers (donor incentives to all presenting donors and other tasks as described in marketing briefs).
Performs on-site whole blood recruitment and assists at college campuses and other blood drives where onsite recruitment will increase donor turnout.
Provides donor flow support when necessary.
Prepares and presents specific presentations to targeted donor groups in an effort to bring in more donations for upcoming drives.
Prepare and verify information for shift summary reports.
Provide telemarketing support for upcoming drives and events when needed.
QualificationsTo qualify, you must have a High School Diploma/GED (college degree preferred), One year of experience working in an operational/administrative support capacity, sales, marketing, or customer service role is required.
Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational and persuasion skills will be expected, as will the enthusiasm necessary to help schedule and recruit blood donors.
PC proficiency and the ability to work a flexible schedule is also essential.
Driver's License required for positions based in New Jersey, Hudson Valley and Long Island Regions.
No Driver's License requirement for New York.
For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed hourly salary is $15.
00 p/hr.
For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant's skills, job-related knowledge, and experienceUnless otherwise specified, all posted opportunities are located in the New York or Greater Tri-State office locations Recommended Skills Administration Automation Communication Customer Service Marketing Passionate Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
