We are hiring for long-term per diem and contract assignments to join our team and work at one of the following Northwell Health hospitals:
North Shore University Hospital (Manhasset) Lenox Hill Hospital (Manhattan) South Shore University Hospital (Bay Shore) Each of these hospitals is highly ranked in providing top patient care--all achieving magnet status.
In addition, all three (3) hospitals received top-50 national ratings in 28 adult medical specialties in U.
S.
News & World Report's 2022-2023 Best Hospital rankings.
Lenox Hill was also named for the second consecutive year among America's 50 Best Hospitals by Healthgrades -- making it the only hospital in New York City to achieve this feat.
In this role, you will assist pathologists with specimens from small biopsies and tissues resections from large specimens.
You may also assist in instructing residents/fellows on procedural and technical skills related to surgical pathology, and more.

Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or related field OR Graduate of an accredited Pathology Assistant program Certification through the American Association of Pathologist Assistants (AAPA) Previous related experience including surgical pathology, autopsy dissection, histology procedures/techniques, gross dissection of surgical specimens, frozen sections, and post-mortem examinations, preferred.
